Are you saying it enough?

As individuals, are we obligated to say ‘yes’ to every opportunity? Of course, we are not, but we do get that feeling of missing out if we don’t. FOMO as they call it – the fear of missing out. But what happens when we always say yes?

When we always say yes, we try to do everything by taking too much on and ultimately, we burn out. As coaches is that a wise thing to do? Not really as we have to be on our top game every day we are coaching and how can that be possible if we say yes to everything.

As an S&C coach, the art of saying no is filtering out the clutter from fancy Instagram exercise videos to long threads on Twitter which make no sense. It is sticking to what your principals are and making sure you carry them out to the best of your ability to help your athletes/clients to achieve their goals.

And remember when you say yes to something you are saying no to something else.

Stick to what is essential – simple

Food for thought.

Till next time, Stay Stoic,
