The famous statement from the cult favourite Jaws, by Brody played by Roy Scheider are words that are more common today as back in 1975. Being successful nowadays means being bigger (even from a social media point of view), having bigger and buying bigger, but is this the way we should be living? Is this the correct way to measure success in life?
We have always heard the saying ‘Bigger is better,’ but is it really, and does it only cause more stress and anxiety? Having a bigger ‘presence’ on social media requires more of our time, which can have a negative impact on our mental health.

Having a bigger house, which is considered an ‘investment’, ultimately takes more money out of our pockets. Having a bigger salary coming can lead to us buying more stuff than we actually need, which links to having more maintenance to carry out.
All this bigger is better mentality can and does place greater stress and anxiety on us, therefore, shouldn’t we say – just stick with the small boat!
Food for thought.
